Has anyone been following the news of the WV mine collapse? Just last night they claimed that the twleve miners were found alive. The scene at the church was crazy with excitement. Tonight they just announced that there was a misscommunication and that only one man survived and the other twelve were dead. (Story) Fights have been breaking out. I was shocked. I'm not sure how something so black and white gets mixed up.

I heard about that yesterday - that is some crazy shit. Sad day for all of those families...
They said that someone in the crowd said that the miners were still alive and the Associated Press ran with it...that's what I call responsible journalism.
Today I heard that the miners left notes for their families and said that they didn't suffer, but were just "going to sleep." Which I guess could be comforting.
Yeah, I've been following that on the news. Crazy stuff, I didn't hear about the survivors until after they had to clairify only one survived. Just reinforces my amazement of how some dumbasses are placed in important positions they don't be long it.
