NCA Jams with Kid Rock
Tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel Show the Detroit Pistons Drumline Ensemble will perform the Kid Rock hits “Bawitdaba” and “Welcome to the Party" with Kid Rock himself. One song will appear at the beginning of the show, one at the end. Kimmel’s show is broadcasting from Detroit this week in anticipation of the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The guy on the left is Larry. He was my wing-man at NorthCoast Academy during the 2004 season, what a great wing-man he was. *rolls eyes* He used to always drop his sticks, at really lame times too, not during a stick flip but like during eights or something easy, and he was always in the wrong spot on the floor. His legend is so strong that when a kid messes up in the Willoughby South Drumline (my high school line) it is known as, "Pulling a Larry." (we are good friends now, though) The line is made up of old Drum Corps (that link takes you to the DCI site and directly to the page with the media release about this gig) members from various organizations as well as many Michigan State folks. Larry marches at State and got involved with this Detroit gig as well. I'm pretty sure the Kimmel Show starts around midnight in this time zone.
Don't drop a stick on national TV, Larry!!

Good thing nobody watches that show! ha!
Did anybody see it?
Was Larry on?
Yeah, it was pushed back till a 1am start, they weren't on till almost 2 in the morning! I watched and they did a stick flip and Larry looked so nervous during that. He was in the center of four snares with two tenors and two bass drums behind. It was pretty cool. Bad drumming and bad tuning, but cool.
I'm sure it was a huge blast
