North Carolina

On Wednesday I graduated from Shawnee State University and moved here to North Carolina. It's very nice here so far, been in the 70's the last two days. It's funny how I was able to take my every possesion and fit it into one desk drawer, an entire dresser and a book shelf. It is certainly Elisabeth's apartment and I'm living in it. I'm sitting her alone already, she went off to Myrtle Beach with the girls for the holiday. Leaves me time to get acclimated, research possible jobs, unpack, and just sort of recoup after finals.

Friends of mine from northeastern Ohio were just here for the last couple days. They were people I worked with at the park and Andy was down here for an interview. Jessica, his girlfriend who works at the park super part time but is mainly a school teacher at the middle school, came also but desperately wanted him to not get the job. It was interesting. I know Andy better, and I know that he wants this full time gig, but I had the pleasure of spending the entire day with Jess and we waited for him. Through this time I heard her argument of why she didn't want him to move...it reminded me of my argument. Then she went so far to tell me about a job in Solon, Ohio, which I applied for and Elisabeth said it would be ok.

I look at Jess and Andy and Elisabeth and myself and feel pretty lucky. While Andy and Jess fought the entire weekend about him possibly moving away, Elisabeth and I sit down and talk about it, I like that. I also like how either of us is will to sacrifice a little, or a lot, for each other and we don't carry a crudge afterwards.

(Cowboy Troy sounds like a country western version of the Sugar Hill Gang! Odd.)

Doesn't sound like much of a "compromise"
