Back Online

Woah, been a long time since I've had internet, which is a junky feeling I've found. This is dial up for now, and it is a mild headache.

The new house is nice, I love my view from the couch (Yes we actually have a couch now too!). Where it sits, no other houses or structures can be seen, makes me feel alone and peacefull. I find that somedays I just come home from work and stare without the TV on even...which is a feat for any Shirring...especially male ones. A few snafoos with the house, it being new and all. The other night it was raining VERY hard and I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to ROARING water. I was shocked at how hard it was raining. Turns out I was dead wrong. The guy that did the plumbing forgot to seal the first floor sink and the hot water tube broke free, there was two inches of standing water in my bathroom and kitchen. NUTSO.

The Carolina Hurcanes won the Stanely Cup. It was really neat. I don't care for hockey, but it was so exciting, I got pulled in for sure. I went to watch a game on the jumbo-tron at the arena while they were away, it was fun.

Ryan was in town looking for a job. Not sure if one has been solidified or not, but he did receive several interviews. Brett also came into town. The three of us got a little out of control and starting given each wedgies and wrestling on the floor. I also stabbed my own air mattress in attempt to keep Brett awake for another 15 minutes. He slept on the floor after that, well a rubber coated floor b/c the air bed was worthless.

The job is great, and I have a few more interviews for permanent full time jobs coming up. I hope I like one enough to take it eagerly. Camp is really fun though. This is the third week, the first and third I have had great campers, but the second was horrible. The kids were really crappy, which made me really unhappy.
