Science Fair

Ever notice how a science fair seems to be the most complex thing when in reality it's just a bunch of projects on display? Seriously, everything becomes such an adventure in patience it's amazing. Tonight we went to Pizza Hut for dinner. (Our stove and fridge have been removed b/c our kitchen floor is missing.) It was the single biggest production/science fair I've ever been a part of. Honestly, it was shocking. I've never been privy to so many nincomepoops centralized in one very unfortunate establishment. It was truly awe-some.

Also, the past few days I've spent my work hours astranged to my office working on the creation of our new newsletter. It's something I've tried to get done for two years now, and finally they broke down and allowed it. I discovered that more than anything, I'm happiest when I'm creating. Whether it's drill, music, a newsletter, laying hardwood floor, I just really get into it. What can I do that allows me total creativity (and total control) and still pays well?

If The Shoe Fits

It was a fun drive on the way home from work on Halloween Night. As I looked over into the other cars driving dangerously too fast, as we love to do here, I couldn't help but giggle. I saw eggs driving a mini van. Elvis was tooling around in a Carola (never would have happened). Fred Flinstone on a hog.

Prior to the fun night, I had to work the Halloween Hayrides for my department. We were encouraged to dress for the occasion of fright and I chose a pirate as I already had the costume. Some of my coworkers chose to wait till arrival and grab a costume/mask out of a box-o-leftovers. Jason, werewolves, zombies and the like all made appearances. There was one gentleman though, who chose not to wear anything. We decided he would be known as the lazy Mexican. Which I know is derogatory, but before you start sending me hate mail, know that he is in fact highly regarded throughout our department as lazy and also, very much Mexican. So...if the shoe fits.
